The Board Needs Your Involvement
Sunday, 18 April 2010

Looking to help make a difference? YVYSO needs you to run for a board postion. Each year we are looking for new people to get involved. If you have an idea, bring it on we are always ready for positive change. District 5 and CalSouth recognize YVYSO as an excellent recreational soccer league.

We are easy to get along with and you get keys to the complex. Are you interested? Can you help? Let us know. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and state your interest. Don't know the board postions? Click on the board link and read a summary of each position. Board postions run from Jan - Dec.

We will be voting for the new board in early November. You know you want to help, now is the time to act.

Soccer Complex Parking
Friday, 31 August 2007

Yes, we know the parking at the Soccer Complex is a little tight. You can help make it better by doing a few simple things.

  1. Do not park along the traveled way. The road is already narrow. Do not make it a safety hazard by parking along it. Last year we had the fire marshal threaten to close the complex down due to this very problem.
  2. Park in the large lot so that rows are created.
  3. Do not block the gates.
  4. If the main lots are full or hard to negotiate, park in the equestrian area just past the middle gate at the top of the rise. We usually have a traffic sign showing the location of this overflow parking area.
  5. Be patient there are spaces opening up all the time. Remember people walking from/to games are not paying attention. Moreover, there are kids who might dart out unexpectedly.

Finally, and you knew this was coming, if you know of or can help pave the parking lot or road, please let us know. We want to get a group of people so we can improve these conditions.

Everything you can do to make parking and driving into and out of the complex better is appreciated.
